Qualcomm profit, outlook meet expectations

Qualcomm Inc. posted an 18 percent rise in quarterly profit and gave an outlook that matched analyst estimates, driving its shares up 6 percent on relief the weak U.S. economy was not hurting demand for its mobile phone chips.
