NEC Electronics likely to post profit

Japanese chip maker NEC Elect 5b4 ronics Corp is likely to squeeze out an operating profit for the year ending March 2008, beating its forecast to break even, thanks to cost cuts and solid demand for microcontrollers, its president said on Wednesday.
