Russian government to push VC fund beyond $1 billion

The Russian Venture Company, a Russian government fund of venture funds, has said it plans to double the amount of money available for investment in startup companies in 2008 from 15 billion rubles (about $600 million) to 30 billion rubles (about $1.2 billion).
