AmberWave Systems announced recently that it is entering a joint-research and licensing agreement with the University of California—Santa Barbara for exploration of mesoporous materials. These materials constitute a broad class of engineered materials that include silicas, refractory oxides, carbons, and multicomponent composites, all of which are highly porous.
