U.S. reduces export controls for SMIC
Removing many of the barriers in the fab-tool procurement process, Chinese foundry provider Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corp. (SMIC) said that U.S. export control agencies have placed the company in its "Validated End-User" (VEU) program.
