Soitec reports sales drop in first half

French silicon-on-insulator wafer supplier Soitec SA reported sales of 83.5 million for the second quarter of fiscal year 2007-2008, resulting in a 6.8-percent year-on-year decline but also in a 21.9-percent sequential growth.
