Chip market grew in August, says analyst |
The three-month average of global chip sales climbed to $21.45 billion in August, up from $20.6 billion in July, according to Bruce Diesen, an analyst with Terra Securities ASA. However, unadjusted year-on-year sales are set to have risen 4.8 percent in August, down from the 11.3 percent jump in July when year-on-year comparisons were particularly easy, he said in a note to clients.
