Exar enters Ethernet MAC market

Exar has entered the Ethernet MAC market with the introduction of the EXcalibAR family of multi-port, multi-rate MACs, the first of which is a 24-port 10/100 and 10/100/1000 Ethernet device that offers non-blocking wire speed performance and supports an oversubscribed bandwidth of 4-Gbits/s over a SPI-3 interface.
