UMC posts mixed results, sees bright Q3

Amid a bullish outlook for Q3, United Microelectronics Corp. (UMC) reported sales of NT$25.10 billion ($764 million) in the second quarter, up 9 percent from the previous quarter but down 2.5 percent from a year ago.
