Models LT3478 and LT3478-1 are 40 V, 4.5 A converters that can drive up to six 700 mA LEDs in series from 12 V input. Model LT3478-1 uses internal current sense resistor, limiting output current to 1 A, whereas Model LT3478 uses external sense resistor to extend max LED current to 4.5 A. True Color PWM(TM) dimming delivers constant LED color with dimming ranges up to 3,000:1. Housed in thermally enhanced package, both parts deliver efficiencies up to 90% in boost mode.
