Comprised of ATR2820 SiGe transceiver IC and ATR7040 high-gain power amplifier, fully integrated single-chip 5.8 GHz transceiver can be programmed via 3-wire serial bus to integrate with any cordless telephone baseband or microcontroller. Solution contains low-IF receiver, VCO, PLL, and transmit output with 3 dBm power. Using standard DECT protocol via same base station, data-rate capability (1.152 Mbps) supports up to 6 handsets. Coverage distance is 1,600 ft typ.
