Sipex Corporation introduced the SP3081E, a family of advanced 5-volt RS-485 transceivers. The family features 15 kV ESD protection, 1/8th unit load for up to 256 devices per bus, hot-swap capability, advanced failsafe protection, and voltage and thermal overload protection.
