Synopsys to pay $227M for Synplicity

Semiconductor IP and software 5b4 vendor Synopsys Inc. said it will acquire smaller rival Synplicity Inc., for $227 million to boost revenue growth and expand its offerings in the communications, military/aerospace, communications and consumer electronics markets.
